Food-Processing Initiative
In 2000 Food-Processing Initiative e.V. was established and developed towards an acknowledged innovation network in the German food sector. FPI´s networks connect actors from the food processing, technology supply, research, and public bodies.
“Connecting competences for innovative solutions!” - this summarizes best FPI´s mission. The food cluster aims at strengthening the competitiveness and innovation capacities of companies in the food sector. Our key objectives are:
- Facilitating contacts and collaborations
- Initiating collaborative projects for innovative solutions
- Dissemination and exploitation of knowledge
FPI provides expertise in product and process innovation, digitization, quality and safety, resource efficiency, and dissemination of research results. FPI has vast experience in managing innovation projects in the food sector on regional, national, and European level with special attention to the involvement of SMEs.
